For the second consecutive year Porsche has taken everything in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC): victory in Le Mans, winning the manufacturers’ world championship in Shanghai and the drivers’ world championship at the finale in Bahrain.
Porsche became the World Champions again. The sports car brand with the innovative Le Mans Prototype Porsche 919 Hybrid secured the manufacturers’ title in the FIA World Endurance Championship one race before the season’s finale.
The reigning world champions Timo Bernhard (DE), Brendon Hartley (NZ) and Mark Webber (AU) won the thrilling six-hour race in Mexico City. By winning the fifth of nine rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC), Porsche further extended its lead in the manufacturers’ standings.
Just like the 2015 debut, the German round of the WEC was a success: 58,000 spectators witnessed breathtaking motorsport in nice summer weather in the Eifel mountains.
Porsche has achieved its 18th overall Le Mans victory at the famous 24-Hours of Le Mans. Drivers Dumas, Jani and Lieb brought home the innovative Porsche 919 Hybrid in first place after Toyota stopped on track during the last lap.
Porsche managed to defend their manufacturer championship title at the second round of the FIA World Endurance Championship in Spa-Franchorchamp, in Belgium despite all technical problems. Despite a problem with the hybrid system, the trio of Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb finished second with their Porsche 919 Hybrid and extended their lead in the drivers’ championship.
World debut of the new 919 Hybrid: Porsche is presenting its new race car for this season. Strong development characterises the new 919 Hybrid’ technology.

Stuttgart. By winning the fourth race in a row, Porsche took an important step in the battle for the World Endurance Championship (WEC). The ground-breaking Porsche 919 Hybrid with the number 17 won the six-hour race. The sister car with the number 18 came second and secured another one-two result for Porsche, that holds the Le Mans winning record.
In Austin (US) the Porsche 919 Hybrid achieved its third win in a row. Drivers Timo Bernhard (DE), Brendon Hartley (NZ) and Mark Webber (AU) won the six-hour race in the Texan capital. It was the fifth of eight rounds of the 2015 FIA World Endurance Championship.
The Porsche Team claimed a one-two result in front of a great crowd at the fourth round of the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) at the Nürburgring.
